Sometime we get to the point as a Christian where we either think "I’m as close as I'll ever get to being like Jesus" or we just flat out give up on trying. If we are going to truly try to be like Jesus, then we can never quit learning.
But we need a refresh on that way of thinking because although He was God, he vacated himself from that access. Encouragement to us that if he can start with a blank slate and get there by age 12, and then still need another 20 years of growing in wisdom and stature and favor with God and men, there’s hope for us.
