CloseChildren will never learn the ability to foresee danger if they never suffer the natural or logical consequences of their actions. When we rescue them time and again, the result is that we have raised a simpleton that will always be blind to the consequences of their actions. Discipline with consequences gives them self esteem because they realize that they have power over the outcomes of their life. Their actions have consequences: some are good, some are bad... but to a large extent in life we have the power to choose our destiny and outcome and this is a lesson your children need to learn.
